Construction recently commenced on the the new Aquatic Center. The old pool facility on the Wilson High School campus has been demolished. A new, state - of - the - art Aquatic Center is rising on the same site.  The programmatic components for the Aquatic Center will include a 25-yard X 50-meter competition pool, a wellness/leisure pool, an adult whirlpool, spectator seating, lockers rooms, administration areas, and building and pool support areas.  The community of Ward 3 and District residents will be the primary users the proposed facility. The facility will also be the competition and practice facility for the Woodrow Wilson High School swim teams. A multi-modal access to the proposed facility is available. A Metro Station is located a block away.  Metered parking along Fort Drive and existing sidewalks/ pathways are also readily available.
