The new Wilson Aquatic Center opened August 6, 2009. The old pool facility on the Wilson High School campus was demolished and has been replaced with a state of the art Aquatic Center on the same site. Features of the Center include a 25-yard X 50-meter competition pool, a wellness/leisure pool, an adult whirlpool, spectator seating, lockers rooms, administration and pool support areas. The aquatic center is accessible to District residents at no cost and is available to non-District residents for a minimal fee. Metro rail and transit access is nearby. Metered parking is available along Fort Drive. See the DC Parks and Recreation web page for the Wilson Aquatic Center hours of operation. |
